The NIKKOR AF-S 70-200 mm f/2.8G ED VR II is by far my most frequently used lens. Now Nikon has introduced its successor, which goes by the beautiful name of AF-S NIKKOR 70-200 mm f/2.8E FL ED VR.

Recently I took a snapshot of a model in the studio. But since the flashes were pointing in the opposite direction, the result was more or less just a black image. Nevertheless, I was able to save the picture with a simple exposure corrector.

Yesterday, after much consideration, I bought the Nikon 14-24/2.8. It's supposed to replace my previous Sigma 12-24, which I was never particularly happy with. But now there's the Nikon cashback promotion. So I've decided to finally go for it.

Until now I have hardly dealt with infrared photography. A few years ago, I made a few attempts with the D100, but the results were far from satisfactory. Nevertheless, I am now interested in how the D800 performs.

Just under a week ago I fulfilled my dream and switched to a camera with a full-frame sensor. The Nikon D800 replaces my four-year-old D300. Here is a first short report on my experience.

The rumours have come true. The new Nikon really does have 36 megapixels. Sounds great at first, but I'm still disappointed.
