Farewell Simson

SimsonSimson was always the undisputed pack leader in the group of three. Yet he got little of his environment. He did not see well and heard badly. His overgrown hair prevented him from hopping freely, and often he sat quite absently in a corner as if dreaming of another world. But Samson had true, inherent authority. Simson had character. For his two girls he was always a hero and never, really never would they have doubted him!

Simson was always up for an adventure. No floor too slippery, no bookshelf too far away, every joint exciting to explore. Even Ronja was not scary to him ... he let her sniff him, while the girls ran away. Simson simply had courage.

Simson

He became 6 1 /2 years old and as I was able to find out now - for an overbred albino rabbit this was indeed very old. Simson was an emergency rabbit from the rabbit helpline. He and Mei moved in together, a little later Pepper joined them. In the last year he became weaker and weaker and decreased rapidly. No examination could show the reason. The two girls were very caring. When he slept late, one protected his head and the other his body. His bladder subsided, then his back. No painkiller could help. The day came when he didn't want to live anymore and he showed that very clearly. We decided to let him go.

All three rabbits were currently in the care of my dear doctor. So Simson could fall asleep forever in the midst of his faithful girls. Without stress, peacefully - just as he always was in life!

Take care, little Simson, and have courage for your new adventure!
